From the south (M1)

Leave the M1 at junction 29 (Chesterfield). Take the A617 to Chesterfield, then the A619 towards Bakewell / Chatsworth. In Baslow at the 2nd roundabout take the A623 for. Stockport / Manchester. In Calver turn right at the traffic lights B6001 Grindleford to Hathersage . In Grindleford turn left up the hill (B6001) to Hathersage. At the T junction ( George Hotel) directly in front of you, turn left onto the A6187 travel straight along this road to Hope.

****** In Hope turn right by the church for Edale – (pub on the corner called The Old Hall). Travel along the road for approx 5-6 miles. Country roads

Some landmarks to look for:-

Lady Booth Equestrian Centre on the left hand side.  Under a railway bridge. Row of terraced houses on the left hand side (Mill Cottages). Very soon there is a ruined barn on the right hand side. Turn right onto the tarmac lane immediately before this.

**As you turn onto the lane you will see a sign on the right hand side OLLERBROOK ACCESS ONLY. Follow the road that goes over the railway and leads to a group of houses. Follow the road round to the right, between houses and stay on the road until you reach Cotefield Farm the road is tarmacked all the way.

From the north (M1)

Leave the M1 at junction 36 (Sheffield) At the roundabout take the right hand exit A61 for Sheffield. Travel along this road for 5-6 miles then turn right onto the A6101 (signposted Glossop A57) After approximately 4 miles turn right onto the A57. At the traffic lights at the Ladybower Reservoir turn left onto the A6103 to Bamford. Travel through Bamford and at the next traffic lights turn right onto the A6187 and travel straight along the road to Hope. Follow the directions from ******

From Manchester

Take the A6 to Chapel-en-le- Frith and take the slip road off to the left signposted Rushop, Edale A6187. At the T junction turn left. Travel for approximately 3 miles and just after the yellow speed ripples turn left sign posted Barber Booth. Go down the steep road towards Edale. Do not turn left up to Edale village, but continue straight on, past the car park on your left, over a narrow hump back bridge and very soon you will see a ruined barn on your left. Turn left onto the tarmac lane immediately after the barn. Follow directions from **

From Edale Station on foot

Come out of the station and down to the road. Turn left up the road, past The Rambler Inn on your left hand side. At the white cottage (gable end comes to the road) which is just before the church, turn right. Follow the path between the walls and straight across the fields. Go straight through the first farmyard and continue straight on following the tarmac lane which leads along and then up to Cotefield Farm
